Hi, I’m Lisa Hancock, LPC, nC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of marriage and the joy of having raised two daughters. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University and later completed a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Throughout my counseling career, I have worked with adults—individually, in families, and in group settings—dealing with chemical dependency and mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Currently, I’m in private practice, where I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.

During your first session, we’ll complete a comprehensive intake assessment that typically lasts 50–60 minutes. This allows me to better understand your biological, psychological, and social history, along with any current concerns. Together, we’ll identify key issues and develop personalized therapy goals tailored to your unique needs.

I use an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based techniques to best support your growth and healing. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can become the healthiest and most empowered version of yourself. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and wholeness.
